Burgess Hill U10s (276 for 7) beat Lewes Priory U10s (263 for 7) by 13 runs.
On what was a glorious morning, Captain for the day Onubhab Hossain lost the toss which resulted in Lewes Priory putting us in to bat first. Batting was solid throughout, with just a couple of wickets being lost unnecessarily, top scorers being Jake Armstrong (16) and George Kaye (15) with both boys finding the boundary on more than one occasion. Hayden Wickwar and Lewis Howard both also managed to find the boundary with solid strikes. At the end of the 20 overs we had set a defendable total, and we needed to bowl well.

The first pair from Lewis Priory put on 35 runs in the first 4 overs and things were looking touch and go, however, the Burgess Hill bowlers were tremendous in pegging back Lewes Priory and restricting runs from the bat very well. George Kaye taking 2 wickets for 4 runs and Jake Armstrong taking 2 wickets for 1 run and Lewis Howard bowling 2 overs for just 2 runs also taking a wicket. The other 2 wickets were claimed by Onubhab Hossain and Ben Lynch. A special mention to Millie Wickwar who stepped in to play for the team.

All in all a great win for the boys and Millie, and a great team performance.
