Burgess Hill put up a good fight but fell short by 22 runs vs Henfield in their first match at St Johns Park this season.

The visitors batted first and scored 118-4 with wickets for Madhavan Varadharajan (caught and bowled), Freddie Cobham (caught Owen), Kyle Jones (caught and bowled) and Adam Parvin (caught and bowled). There was good bowling all round and credit had to go to the Henfield batsmen for reaching the boundary on a number of occasions.

It was a tough total to chase in the fading light but the home team came close with 96-4.  Highlights included 32 retired for Owen and 25 retired for Kyle. Ryan chipped in with 8 not out, Billy with 8 and Freddie with 5.
